What we do

Two questions, in that order

What is this truck? Then what is it worth?

Almost every bad number comes from rushing the first one. Mobric answers both, shows its working, and leaves the decision with you.

  1. Step 1

    VIN

    Seventeen characters

  2. Step 2

    The truck

    Decoded and confirmed

  3. Step 3

    Similar trucks

    Adjusted to yours

  4. Step 4

    Market price

With a range and a grade

  5. Step 5

    Your decision

    Allow, bid or list

A car is selected. A truck is built.

Two trucks with the same year, make and model can be thousands of dollars apart, because each was specified for a job. Pricing one well means knowing exactly what you have, then comparing it with trucks that are actually like it.

The problem

The spec is the price

Engine, axle, sleeper and body move a truck by thousands. Car-style guides that stop at year, make and model miss most of that.

The problem

Asking is not selling

Most numbers you can find are asking prices. They sit above what trucks sell for, and by how much changes with the market.

The problem

The phone-call method

Pricing by feel and a few calls works until a miss costs you a month’s margin on one trade.

How it works

From VIN to decision

01

Read the truck

The VIN is checked and decoded against the federal vehicle database. What the VIN cannot tell you is not guessed; it is highlighted for you to confirm.

  • The check digit catches a mistyped VIN before anything else runs.
  • A VIN can read as two model years thirty years apart. Mobric asks rather than picks.
  • Body, sleeper and anything the VIN leaves out wait for your confirmation.

02

Find trucks like it

Mobric gathers similar trucks of the same kind and body, then adjusts each one to yours for year, miles and engine, and shows you every one it used.

  • Each similar truck is listed with its price and its adjusted price.
  • Asking prices and sale prices are kept apart and labelled.
  • Too few similar trucks, and it says so rather than guess.

Similar trucks, adjusted to yours

YearMilesAskingAdjusted
2021512,000$29,900$31,800
2022488,000$32,500$31,900
2022540,000$30,000$30,600
2023455,000$36,900$32,700

03

Price it with a range

One market price, a range around it, and an evidence grade that tells you how much to lean on it. The few things that moved it most are named.

  • The range widens when the evidence is thin or the truck is uncertain.
  • Uninspected trucks or missing records widen the range and lower the grade; the price itself does not move.
  • Your notes are read for anything that changes the price, and for what does not.

Dent · cosmetic · no effect on price

04

Turn it into your decision

Your reconditioning, margin, floorplan and days to sell turn the market price into a number you can act on, with the working shown line by line.

  • Retail, wholesale and auction prices side by side.
  • A falling-market case, so you know your number if prices slide.
  • A clean PDF to share, and a private one with your walk-away figure.

Taking a trade

Cautious end of the market$27,100
Reconditioning− $2,500
Holding 75 days− $1,050
Your margin, 10%− $2,600
Most to allow$21,000

How we can help

Built for the three calls you make every week

Taking a trade

Know your ceiling before you make an offer

Most to allow and where to open, worked back from the market through your reconditioning, holding cost and margin. If the market falls like it did in 2023, you see that number too.

Buying at auction

Bid with the fees already counted

A top bid that leaves room for the buyer’s premium, transport and your margin, adjusted for how many serious bidders you expect in the room.

Setting a retail price

List where it will sell

A list price and a floor, with what each week on the lot costs you, so a price cut is a decision rather than a guess.

Where AI fits

AI reads. The method prices.

AI is used where the information is messy: what a dealer typed about a truck. Everything that should come out the same every time is done by fixed rules you can check.

AI does

  • Reads your notes about the truck
  • Quotes the words that matter
  • Says what each does to the price, including nothing

Fixed rules do

  • VIN checks and decoding
  • Choosing and adjusting similar trucks
  • The price, the range and every dollar of the decision

Mobric never invents a similar truck, a price or a source.

Who it is for

Independent used-truck dealers

Small and mid-size dealers pricing trade-ins and auction buys, who today price by feel and by phone, and pay for the misses.

What it will not be

One job, done well

Not inventory or a CRM, not a listing site, not financing or title work, and never a replacement for your judgement. It is a starting point, not an appraisal.

Where it stands

Private pre-release

Most of the evidence today is dealer asking prices; sale prices are being added, and every report says which it used. The roadmap shows what comes next.

Waitlist

Be first in line

Mobric is in private pre-release for used-truck dealers. One email when it opens.

A starting point, not an appraisal. The decision to use it is yours.
